I liked the note about expectations. If it's raining out, I remind myself that I'm only grumpy because of an expectation that I be warm and dry that was never promised to me by the sky, and then my attitude shifts. Expectations definitely dictate a big part of experiences!
I'm often wondering why people are so fearful about these subjects. I see plenty of cautionnary posts from practitionners telling people to stay safe and I struggle to understand. Stay safe from what ? I don't understand how could a star hurts you, or how meditating could be harmful ... and I wonder if it isn't just because of some christian upbringing labelling everything spiritual as evil ?
I think for some people, a Christian upbringing might be at play, but it's not always coming from folks raised in that particular way at all.
As far as stars being potentially hurtful, that's not completely irrelevant in some cases (you *could* make curse talismans with the help of a star for instance!), and meditating can bring up difficult experiences for some folks, but it's very contextual. Fearmongering is hardly ever a good idea, I believe it's best to transmit any crucial info + encourage people to cultivate discernment!
That's interesting ! Although, I don't see how telling people to avoid certain stars would prevent them from being cursed, it seem quite out of their reach ... But I understand why people may fear these stars now ! Thank you.
As to the point of meditating, I wish I saw more people suggesting to seek psychological assistance in addition to seeking spirituality, but I seem to see fearmongering and suggesting avoidance of many topics a lot more ! ... Growing is facing our fears though, and it is not to be done alone ... Thank you for not participating in that kind of talks !
It does seem weird, especially since I think it's not necessarily about which star, more about the type of relationship you cultivate with it, how you engage, the quality of the election you choose in the case of a talisman... I'm in favour of approaching these topics with humility and without rushing, but I really do feel getting into it with terror is not conducive to right relationship by any means :/
I agree, sometimes therapeutic modalities are really needed, and spiritual bypassing that is really hurtful to folks! Avoidance can be useful if it's temporary, but it's not sustainable when something needs to be faced, for sure, I wholesome agree that it's what allows us to grow (there's a Jupiter-Saturn thing here!).
💞 such a loving and helpful and caring reminder

Yeahhh, relatable! I often take comfort in thinking of the plants that benefit from the rain when that happens, haha 🌱
Beautiful text, it definitely takes some of the worries away 😌
