I participated in a couple raffles in the online astro-sphere in recent years, both as a someone who donated and then received a prize, as well as a participant offering a prize. I cherished the opportunity to support someone who needed help and to get to connect with other people in the process. I met really cool colleagues! So while I wish nobody needed to set up a GoFundMe1, since things are as they are, I’m glad to be organising this raffle because I love how socially connective they can be.

What the raffle is for
So, what’s this all about? Alex has been searching for a job for months.
As a covid-cautious trans woman of colour, this hasn’t been easy, and unfortunately, debt has accumulated in the process. The GoFundMe is all about supporting her during this transitional time. On top of being a human-shaped ray of sunshine, Alex is active in her community, notably with a local mask bloc (you can find more info further down, and directly on the GFM page if you’re curious!).
As transphobic and eugenistic policies continue to be implemented (everywhere and especially viciously in the USA where Alex is located), I believe resourcing through mutual aid is key and I hope you join in! Besides this basic incentive of just Doing a Cool Thing To Help Someone, there are so many awesome prizes you can receive in the process, which I’m really excited about.

Kira Ryberg is hilarious, sweet and generous on top of being an incredibly skilled astrologer! You might have seen her on The Astrology Podcast to discuss Lots, which are one of her specialties2.
Kira has kindly offered three of her guidebooks as prizes: one delving into the Lots (also known as Arabic Parts), one which is all about the bounds (also known as terms), and one about the decans (also known as faces).
I can attest to the quality of these guidebooks; you might have seen me quoting them in various articles I’ve written previously. q’Amar is a curious, brilliant, compassionate diviner, who has been studying and practice astrology for over a decade, and started learning cartomancy in childhood. Planetary Telegraphs + 30-min Mars reading, by Maeg Keane
Maeg Keane is a writer, astrologer, and herbalist, running Third Sister. Maeg also writes on Substack, and each of their articles is such a delightful treat: insightful, inspired, maddeningly poetic.
I am so thrilled that they’re giving out two Planetary Telegraphs as prizes! I have received one of these in the past and they’re amazing. Here’s the presentation for this very special offering:
Receive a short piece of evocative, experimental writing about one planet in your birth chart. Expect 2-4 paragraphs (length depends on what comes through) packed with imagery. You can choose the planet yourself or choose the “wild card” option and I will choose for you. Based on the testimonials, you'll want to read it many times, turning it over in your mind for weeks.
This is not a session. It is a telegraph from space. I am the courier, dropping it off at your virtual door.

Noémie aka Mrs.Kuartz is a multi-disciplinary artist and diviner, one of my most frequent collaborators when working in French. It is thanks to Noémie that I got into card reading at all, because they’d asked me to find an election for the launch of their lovely Tarot de la Fortune; of course, I got one myself and fell in love. They also birthed a gorgeous spirit-guided, astrology-influenced deck, the Oracle III-IX. Eclipse Astro-Tarot reading, by Caleb McCoy
Caleb is a diviner, drummer, and dreamer who began studying Tarot cards, Chaos magic, Taoism, Buddhism, and Western philosophy in 2013. He’s a practitioner of Buddhism, a devotee of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a dabbler in astrological magic, and practitioner of Nordic animism. In addition to being an astrologer and weirdo, he is a father, writer, and insatiable wanderer.
That’s all lifted from his about page. Now, I will add that Caleb is a really cool friend and such an inspiring diviner. I love reading his astrological insights, musical recommendations and poems. His Evocation to Mars had me like, sweating speechless. And it’s not just that Caleb is brilliantly creative and knowledgeable; his care and compassion truly shine through as well. I had the immense joy to receive a Mars reading from him a while ago and I still think about it regularly! Hi, it’s me! I’ve been a consulting astrologer since 2020, and I’m particularly obsessed with passionate about fixed stars. My approach to astrology is rooted in an animistic worldview, a love of Spheres and spirits and people! For this raffle, I’m offering a one-hour natal astrology consultation, and a Lunar Returns quarter written report.
⭐ The one-hour natal astrology consultation consists in the interpretation of your birth chart in order to put into perspective your current life events, get a glimpse of what the future has in store for you, and/or better understand yourself. This takes place via videochat, on Zoom.
I approach consultations as a dialogue, and I do my best to accompany you in the issues you might be facing by providing a perspective of the astrological patterns and cycles that relate to it. I use the tropical zodiac, ancient techniques and perspectives of the Hellenistic tradition such as whole sign houses and traditional rulerships, and I like to work with Placidus Houses as an overlay to whole sign as well. I always include fixed stars in parans, for which I use professional software Starlight. I also incorporate some modern elements, using outer planets and asteroids, although not in rulership considerations but as additional information for delineation. ⭐ The Lunar Returns quarter report is a new thing that I’ve never offered publicly!
I’ve been working with Lunar returns in my personal practice for a while now, and have written these reports for loved ones a lot as well, both because I wanted the practice and because they’ve proven really supportive for folks. You get a written report outlining three months of Lunar returns, with visuals of the charts, technical delineation and more down-to-earth insight and advice about what’s going on.
Lunar returns are a really elegant, deceptively simple and yet precise and nurturing tool to look into what’s churning for an individual. I use a combination of techniques for this, including fixed stars in parans. I can tailor the report to your level of ease when it comes to astrology — if you’re a beginner and need as little jargon as possible, I’ll make sure to take it into account when writing!
Note: while this report is inherently predictive, if you’re not fond of looking ahead, you can totally use it as a retrospective tool, to look back on the month or the quarter and learn more about astrology technique and reflect on what’s been going on for you with different lenses.

I’ve been making devotional playlists for years, and a lot of them for fixed stars, decans, planets in signs or aspects6. I also love to do playlists for loved ones, and I find it such an interesting exercise in attuning to their natal signatures! I look forward to crafting a custom playlist for one of the participants.

So, I’m not sure when exactly the raffle will finish, but there are eclipses four times a year so I’m not too worried about timing here. There’s always an eclipse to talk about, especially since their impact can be long-lasting!
So much so that I booked a Waymaking session and it was amazing beyond my expectations, even though my expectations were high! Jo is as delightfully funny, warm and kind in a 1-on-1 session than everywhere else.
