Looking back and looking ahead
Who likes sum-ups and stats? I like sum-ups and stats!
Merry Solstice, everyone, and thank you for reading.
A note for French-speakers!
Before I dive into the subject of this article proper, a heads up for the French-speaking around here that I teamed up with the formidable Mrs.Kuartz to offer you a Lunar culinary calendar!
Cooking has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve been observing the Moon transits while doing it for over 5 years. It taught me a lot, including how to pick out an extra nice moment so my focaccia can come out extra-fluffy. When discussing this with great gourmand and meme extraordinaire MercuryinSag, she said it sounded really interesting and recommended that I write about it. I gave it some thought, and decided to make it a calendar, if only because I’m going to use it myself!
Mrs.Kuartz made it suuuuper pretty and added their own overall genius to the project by adding cooking suggestions here and there, and writing a top-notch introduction that gives you tools to understand what we’re even talking about if you’re new to electional astrology.
It’s a digital calendar for the whole of 2026, it’s very affordable, it’s only available in French. If that sounds of interest, you can grab one here.
Looking back on 2025, and what’s in store for 2026
I’m taking stock of what I’ve shared here in 2025 and thought I would share! The archive has grown considerably this year, and it’s not necessarily easy to keep track of everything, so for your convenience, especially if you’re a newcomer—here’s a list of all articles published this year, sorted by topic:
Fixed star deep dives
The Harvester, about Vindemiatrix of Virgo (10° Libra)
Delphinus and Olympic swimmers (16-17° Aquarius)
Corruption of liberties and Alpheratz of Andromeda (14° Aries)
Frenzied cavalcade, about Scheat of Pegasus (29° Pisces)
Red rivers, about Alphard of Hydra (27° Leo)
Dissolving into the abyss, about Menkar of Cetus (14° Taurus)
The lovely ear of wheat, about Spica of Virgo (24° Libra)
Fixed star astrology 101
A beginner’s guide to fixed stars in parans, adapted from an article by Amaya Rourke
Reflections about astrological pratice
About transits
Various others
Thriving despite haters, about Aya Nakamura
Baby’s on fire, about natal Venus retrograde in Aries
⭐ My personal faves are probably Astrological bypassing, A planet in domicile does not a good person make, and Dissolving into the abyss, although all of it was really great to research and write about—I feel very lucky! Feel free to let me know about your own favourite(s) from this year!
[Note that absolutely zero article on this page has ever been written using genAI. I do not and I will not use technology based on theft which depletes precious resources!]
Some stats
In 2025 I published 29 articles on here, which wasn’t planned as such but I find it very poetic given that is the length of a Lunar month and I am a bona fide Moon fanboy!
I opened this page back in 2024, and during that year I had also written 29 articles, which seems uncanny to me. However, the publication rhythm has been quite different this time around: the end of 2024 had been insanely packed, with 10 articles solely in December (6 of which were freely accessible), which I do not intend to repeat. I’m aiming for a more sustainable pace these days, publishing steadily each month.
Among these 29 articles published in 2025, 12 have focused on fixed stars, with 7 of these fixed star deep dives, and 5 others being resources mostly aimed at fixed star beginners or people looking to deepen their understanding of this area of astrology. I’m especially pleased with this!
This sum-up has made me realise I haven’t published about the decans in 2025, although rest assured more of that is coming soon, with one scheduled as soon as February of 2026. Fixed stars tend to be my focus, but I do enjoy writing about the decans and there’s a lot of that in my drafts as well!
The most liked article (referring to people clicking “Like” on it) was A beginner’s guide to fixed stars in parans, and I am particularly grateful to Amaya Rourke for gifting me her archive for republication in that regard!
Runner-ups are two pieces near and dear to my heart, at the intersection of my passion for astrology and my striving for a trauma-informed approach: The Lunar North Node and trauma, and Astrological bypassing. I’m really glad these pieces resonated, because I care so very deeply about these topics! It’s very affirming to me that these pieces were among the most popular—validating that I do not need to try to force a “love and light” persona or pretend everything is great. Speaking to what’s on my mind and heart is actually good, hey! Love that.
The fourth most popular has been Astrological magic and ethical responsibilities, which I would consider to be one of the most important things I’ve written all year. I wish writing it hadn’t been necessary, but it is what it is! I have written more on this topic, which will be published in 2026.
One of the most commented on pieces, behind Astrological bypassing, was the deep-dive about fixed star Menkar of Cetus, Dissolving in the abyss. I was thrilled to receive such feedback on this article! Cetus is a constellation I feel especially close to, and this was truly a labour of love over the past few years. Fellow Cetus lovers, I’m happy to report I have more coming up for you in 2026—several articles are already scheduled that will focus and/or get into more specificity around Cetus.
I started a new series of articles in 2025 called “Astrological bits and bobs”, and I already have follow-ups scheduled for that too. I’m excited to share more tidbits of research in this format!
Thank you again for reading Ad Astra in 2025. I tremendously enjoy writing and sharing here, and I look forward to more of it in 2026.
I’m always interested to hear from you regarding what you enjoy reading, so if there’s something you’d look to see more of in the coming year, let me know in the comments!

Such a great pleasure and delight and honnor to do so many things with you, work-related or not ❣️💐 And also thank you for this abundance of really well-thought writings, all of them were so good that I couldn't pick a favorite one, even biased as I am towards certain fixed stars and subjects (it would feel like chosing a favorite flower ??? like ? no ?? all of them ?) Obviously so thrilled to see what you have planned for 2026 👀
